Our breasts are packed two per pack, which makes it convenient for a quick dinner. We, even as a family of five, find them easier than a four pack because not all recipes call for that many breasts. Typically breasts are a bit more dry than a thigh, but these breasts are not.
Our chickens are raised in a mobile coop that is moved to fresh grass each day. They have plenty of room to roam in the coop to scratch around, and eat as many bugs as they can find. Its Texas, we aren't short on bugs, so they get a good helping! We feed them a locally milled feed that is free of corn, soy, medication, and GMOs. We take great pride in these chickens so they always have fresh clean water, clean food, fresh air, and sunshine. These chickens are kept in the coop, this is because the predators are not in short supply and we want them to stay safe.
By letting these chickens be chickens, providing them with excellent care, their meat is tender and full of flavor.
From day one our chicks water is supplemented with an Oregano liquid. Oregano has been proven to boost immune systems and is used in some commercial poultry farms in place of antibiotics. Chickens can easily become stressed and this can have impact their health and growth. We want them to have the best shot and living a heathy life until it is their time.
